Kohima: The Naga People’s Front gathered theological students from the Tangsa, Nocte, Wancho, and Tutsa tribes for a prayer fellowship at Hotel Season in Chümoukedima on September 20. The event served as a platform to distribute bursaries under the NPF Bursary Project. Atoi, associate pastor of KBCC, opened the meeting with an invocation and Scripture reading. Pastor Apong from YBC Chümoukedima led the attendees in special prayers for the students and their future ministry.
Students need help. The party wants to bridge gaps. Anon Arangham of UCTM thanked the NPF for the financial support provided to the group.
NPF Vice President Kekongchim Yimkhiung stated that the party operates under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, NPF President, and Secretary General Achumbemo Kikon. He claimed the party reaches out to Nagas "beyond artificial boundaries." Yimkhiung described the organization as more than a political entity, noting that it represents a Naga identity tied to deep historical roots. He warned that many Arunachal Nagas are losing their cultural connection. He urged the students to preserve their heritage and push for unity across state lines.
H. Angnyei Konyak, NPF vice president, chaired the program and delivered the closing remarks. The event confirmed the party's ongoing commitment to supporting theological education while fostering stronger ties between Naga communities.
