Gangtok: The Sikkim unit of the BJP warned the public Tuesday to ignore a fake letter circulating on social media. The party claims the document is a forgery aimed at spreading misinformation and causing public confusion. It wants the police to step in.

This is not a new fight. The party filed a General Diary report at the Sadar Police Station in Gangtok on July 23 after a similar fake letter appeared. Officials say the administration has done nothing since then. "The party appealed to the public to refrain from forwarding or sharing unverified messages," the release stated.

The party claims the lack of official intervention emboldens those creating these documents. They want investigators to hold the culprits accountable. Residents should verify all party news through official channels before hitting share. Official platforms remain the only source of truth.
