Kohima: The district of Shamator hosted a farewell event for outgoing Deputy Commissioner Chubatemjem on May 22 at the DC Conference Hall. During the gathering, Chubatemjem thanked the heads of departments, civil society organizations, and local residents for the support they provided throughout his tenure. He credited their cooperation for the successful operation of the local administration.
Reflecting on the future of the region, Chubatemjem encouraged department heads to maintain their commitment to public service. He emphasized that as one of the newest districts, Shamator requires sustained effort and focus to ensure balanced development for all.
Community leaders offered praise for the outgoing official during the ceremony. Hankiu, speaking for the Yimkhiung Tribal Council, credited Chubatemjem for his consistent leadership. Athrong Yimchunger, the SDO for Civil, highlighted the official's approachable nature, noting that he remained accessible to both his staff and the general public throughout his time in the role. Additional speakers included Additional SP Imlinungsang, head GB Kiumukam Janger, and LDA Yakor Kiumukam.
