Guwahati: The Kutumb Suraksha Parishad (KSP) wants Dr. Pradip Rajbanshi behind bars. The gynaecologist and obstetrician at the Barpeta Road First Referral Unit stands accused of kicking a woman inside the government hospital. KSP chief secretary Pranay Kumar Barman issued a press release on Saturday demanding the doctor's immediate suspension and arrest.

The organization claims the woman suffered physical and mental humiliation during her time on hospital grounds. They argue the assault raises major concerns about patient safety and the treatment of women in Assam state healthcare facilities. The group labeled the doctor's actions criminal and flatly unacceptable.

"The organisation alleged that the woman was subjected to physical and mental humiliation on the hospital premises, raising concerns over patient safety and the dignity of women receiving treatment at government healthcare facilities."

KSP leaders now demand a police case and a swift investigation. They want officials to guarantee the dignity of all patients and their families. The group issued a blunt warning to the administration: if authorities fail to act, the KSP will launch a protest movement across the entire Barpeta district.
