Guwahati: Dhubri Police cuffed seven men during a massive drug bust on June 25. Officers raided a home on IG Road after receiving tips about local trafficking. The team grabbed 37 grams of heroin and 390 Yaba pills along with five phones and nearly five thousand rupees in cash.

Dr. Anup Jyoti Bora led the raid on the residence of Firoz Sheikh. Police hauled the suspects to the Dhubri Sadar Police Station for questioning. The detainees include Firoz Sheikh, Abdul Samir, Yash Agarwal, Subrata Ghorami, Moinul Khan, Saidul Islam, and Mun Khan.

Locals say the house has been a hub for drug deals for a long time. They want the police to keep pushing. One officer stated, "Further investigation is underway and additional arrests may follow based on leads obtained during the operation." Investigators are now hunting for the source of the drugs to see if the group belongs to a larger cartel.
