Imphal: Security forces discovered a cache of weapons, communication gear, and improvised explosive devices near the Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur. The operation took place on May 20 between Border Pillar 72 and 73 in the Tengnoupal district, falling under the jurisdiction of the Moreh Police Station.

The recovery included one self-loading rifle, a 9 mm pistol with a magazine, four radio sets, and a charger. During the search, personnel also identified four improvised explosive devices. These devices were safely destroyed at the scene by security teams following standard safety protocols.

This operation is part of a broader effort to stop the movement of illegal materials and weaponry across the border. Officials have launched an investigation to determine where the items originated and how they were intended to be used.
