Imphal: Security forces caught a senior PRE-PAK (PRO) operative in Kamjong district on September 30. Intelligence officers tracked the man after he crossed the border from Myanmar. Troops set up a mobile vehicle check post in the Chandrakhong area to intercept him.

Personnel detained 56-year-old Moirangthem Boboy Singh, also known as Laingam, who lives in Kakmayai Mayai Leikai. Officials identified him as a self-styled captain for the militant group. He surrendered without incident during the stop.

Singh admitted to recruiting four teenagers from Bishnupur district and moving them across the border into Myanmar. Investigators are now working to identify the rest of his network. "Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the recruitment and movement of the youths, as well as the wider network involved," officials stated.
