Kohima: Sao Chang College finalized its student union election on Wednesday. The process ran from August 3 to August 12. Assistant Professor Bachu chaired the oath-taking ceremony, which introduced the fresh executive council to the campus. New leaders are now in place.
College Principal Dr. Lanurenla addressed the group during the event. She urged the new team to work with total sincerity. She told them to "uphold institutional regulations, and rise above tribalism to foster unity across the student body." The administration expects the new officers to put the collective needs of the students first.
Assistant Professor Serila L. Sangtam handed out recognition certificates to the outgoing members for their previous work. Nchambeni, representing the old council, gave the farewell address. Incoming General Secretary Samgmailenla L. followed with a speech focusing on upcoming welfare initiatives. Assistant Professor K. Chongliu administered the oath of office to formally induct the council. Dr. Mhasiriekho Ziekhru wrapped up the proceedings with a vote of thanks.
