Kohima: Sao Chang College celebrated academic and entrepreneurial success Saturday in Tuensang. The event took place at the multipurpose hall. Deputy Commissioner Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa served as the guest speaker.
Assistant Professor Dr S Arenla chaired the session. The college Music Club performed as the program opened. Student Support Committee members distributed cash awards, certificates, and mementoes to top Nagaland University performers. Science topper Jasmin Begom took first rank while Mariya K Saji took second.
Academic Excellence Awards went to Niukai for Arts and Jasmin Begom for Science. Arela from the History department earned the Student of the Year title. Mariya K Saji spoke to the crowd during the event. "Encouraged students to work hard and trust the process to achieve success," she said.
The Entrepreneurship Development Centre recognized I Tochi Imlong and Natitolen Chang for their business growth. Chang told students to sharpen their skills and keep chasing innovation. Rutsa praised the awardees while pushing for discipline and perseverance. She noted that success depends on dedication more than a person's background.
Moa, a Home Evangelist from the PBC Saksi 3rd NAP Battalion, offered a closing prayer. Assistant Professor Akyuba Sangtam delivered the vote of thanks to finish the day.
