Itanagar: Forecasters issued a five-day weather warning for Arunachal Pradesh. Heavy rain hits the state from June 27 through July 1. Storms and lightning are on the way. The Meteorological Centre in Itanagar put West Kameng and East Kameng on red alert for June 28. This means take action now.

Extremely heavy rainfall will slam those areas. Other districts face orange alerts. Pakke Kessang, Papum Pare, Lower Subansiri, and West Siang need to stay ready for heavy downpours. The threat shifts on June 29. Orange alerts stay active for West Kameng, Papum Pare, East Siang, and Lower Dibang Valley.

Conditions ease by June 30. Most districts will drop to a yellow alert. The storm risk shrinks. By July 1, the major warnings lift, though isolated rain continues under monsoon conditions.
