Rajasthan and Assam Speakers Meet to Discuss Legislative Ties

Guwahati: Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani met with Assam Speaker Ranjeet Kumar Dass in Guwahati this Saturday. The two leaders sat down at the Assam Legislative Assembly to hash out plans for tighter cooperation between their respective bodies. They focused heavily on how to better support democratic institutions across state lines.

The meeting was a courtesy call. It turned into a wide-ranging talk on shared governance goals. Following the session, Dass posted an update on X to mark the occasion. He praised the dialogue and noted the pair shared a firm commitment to core democratic values.

Dass spoke highly of the visit. "It was a pleasure to welcome Hon'ble Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Shri Vasudev Devnani Ji, to the Office of the Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly today," he wrote. Both men walked away with a clearer roadmap for future collaboration.
