Shillong: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is eyeing a December trip to Shillong to engage with local students. Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee president Vincent Pala confirmed the plan on Saturday.
Pala personally invited Gandhi to discuss mounting frustrations across the state. Students want to air grievances regarding examination irregularities, problems tied to the Common University Entrance Test, school closures, and the lack of jobs. The visit aims to give the youth a direct line to discuss their future prospects.
Paperwork for the trip is already filed. However, the exact dates remain up in the air. Pala said, "He is not in town, and once he is back in New Delhi, he will let us know his plans."
Gandhi’s schedule is still pending confirmation. The party waits for his word.
