Rabindranath Tagore Club Sets Dates for 16th Inter-Shillong Cultural Event

Shillong: The Rabindranath Tagore Club is bringing back its Inter-Shillong Cultural Event for the 16th year. The festival kicks off July 19 and runs until August 9. It packs a heavy schedule of local talent into three weeks. Organizers expect a wide range of competitors to join the fray.

Things start with Rabindra Sangeet and folk song contests on July 19. Dancers take the stage July 26 for Tagore and folk routines. August brings more action. The club hosts art, essay, and quiz showdowns on August 1, followed by English and Bengali recitations on August 2. The event wraps up August 9 with fun games and a Hindi song and dance contest.
