Punjab Man Walks Across India to Spread Global Peace

Guwahati: Jaspreet Singh just finished a seven-month walk across 13 states. He started at the Golden Temple in Amritsar on December 1. Now, he stands in Dhubri at the historic Gurudwara Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib. He covered thousands of kilometers on foot to spread a message of unity.

His route took him through Haryana, Rajasthan, and deep into the south at Takht Sri Hazur Sahib in Maharashtra. He also stopped at Takht Sri Patna Sahib in Bihar. He faces a brutal road ahead. The traveler will head through Guwahati before tackling the high-altitude terrain of Tawang and Mechuka in Arunachal Pradesh.

He wants to test his limits. Speaking to India Today NE, Jaspreet said the pilgrimage is aimed at "promoting peace, strengthening human endurance and fostering cultural connections through travel."

His journey does not end at the border. He plans to take his message abroad. He intends to march through Myanmar, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, China, Pakistan, and Afghanistan to complete his global mission.
