Kohima: Pungro Town officials and community members gathered at the International Border Area Peoples Welfare Organisation office on June 4 to celebrate the opening of the Youth Khiang Yam. This new youth morung aims to serve as a hub for community development and personal growth for the area's younger generation.

During the inaugural event, IBAPWO Director N. Apong explained that the space provides students with access to academic books and resources to help them explore their potential. He encouraged local students to utilize the facility regularly to support their educational goals.

The event drew support from local leadership and security officials. The EAC of Pungro, serving as the special guest, urged attendees to maintain a positive outlook and seize available opportunities. An assistant commandant from the 30 Assam Rifles also shared advice regarding career pathways and examination preparation, emphasizing the importance of staying interactive and willing to learn.
