President Droupadi Murmu to Visit Sikkim for Three-Day Tour

Gangtok: President Droupadi Murmu will begin a three-day official visit to Sikkim on May 26. She is scheduled to arrive at the Libing Army helipad in Gangtok during the afternoon, marking the start of a busy itinerary focused on the state's strategic, academic, and cultural landscape.

Her first day includes a visit to Lok Bhavan, followed by stops at the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology in Deorali and the Orchidarium at Ridge Park. On May 27, the President will travel to the Nathula border area along the international boundary between India and China. Later that day, she will preside over the seventh convocation ceremony of Sikkim University, where she will award degrees to students from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 graduating batches.

The trip concludes on May 28. Before departing the state, the President will attend a parade held by the Sikkim Police at Paljor Stadium.
