Guwahati: Garchuk Police hauled in a massive stash of suspected narcotics at Guwahati's Inter-State Bus Terminus. They caught the shipment before it could leave the area. The drugs held a market value of Rs 80 lakh.

Officers moved fast on a tip. They caught the courier, Anuj Kumar from Bihar, red-handed. The contraband was hidden inside 15 soap cases in a desperate bid to fool investigators.

The suspect remains in custody. "Police have initiated further investigation to ascertain the intended destination of the consignment and determine whether additional individuals or a larger drug trafficking network were involved in the operation."

Detectives are currently tracing the supply chain. They want to know where the shipment started and who else is pulling the strings. The sweep continues.
