Shillong: Police discovered an unidentified man dead in a drain near the Rapsang Mill in the Umiam MIDC area on July 27. The Umiam headman alerted local authorities to the grim find. Officers moved the body to the Nongpoh Civil Hospital mortuary after finishing an inquest and a post-mortem examination.
The man stands approximately 157 centimeters tall. He wore a long-sleeve shirt featuring a white and blue checkered pattern when discovered. Medical reports suggest the man is non-tribal. Police now need leads. "Police have urged people with information about the deceased to contact 6909300160 or 6909300147 for identification."
