Police search for four missing schoolgirls in Guwahati

Guwahati: Police in Guwahati have launched a search operation following the mysterious disappearance of four schoolgirls from the Basistha area on June 1. The students, all enrolled at Beltola Majhipara Middle English School and residents of the Beharbari locality, failed to return home after leaving for school at their usual time of 8 am.

The missing girls are identified as Nirupai Ray, Ayushree Singh, Jilmil Daimary, and Rumi Baruah. Their families became alarmed when they did not return by the evening and initiated their own search before seeking help from the authorities.

Family members have officially lodged a complaint at the Basistha Police Station. Investigators are currently examining all angles of the case to locate the students. Local residents have expressed deep concern regarding the incident as the police continue their efforts to trace the group.
