Police Arrest Suspected Drug Supplier in Assam Raid

Guwahati: Authorities in Assam arrested a suspected drug supplier during an anti-narcotics operation in the Kamrup district on June 12. Police officers from the Jorshimuli Police Outpost launched the raid following a tip-off, resulting in the apprehension of Aminul Ali, a local resident of Jorshimuli village.

During the search, officers recovered one packet of suspected heroin along with 68 individual drug containers. The mission was led by Officer-in-Charge Anjan Sharma. Officials confirmed that the accused is currently in custody for interrogation. Regarding the operation, police stated, "Efforts are also underway to ascertain possible links to a wider narcotics distribution network in the area." The investigation remains ongoing as police work to determine the extent of the trafficking operation.
