Pijush Hazarika outlines BJP strategy and administrative goals in Juria

Guwahati: Former Assam minister Pijush Hazarika participated in a BJP workers meeting in Juria on May 19, where he focused on strengthening organizational structures ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. During the session, Hazarika provided specific directives to party cadre regarding outreach strategies aimed at securing minority votes in the region.

As part of the leadership reshuffle, Hazarika assigned Suresh Bora responsibilities for the Rupahi Hat Legislative Assembly constituency pending further instructions from party officials. The former minister also emphasized the need for accountability within the party, ordering that members who failed to support the NDA candidate during the last Assembly elections, or those whose booths underperformed, should be replaced by new personnel.

Beyond electoral tactics, Hazarika addressed administrative concerns by signaling a crackdown on corruption. He announced that the government plans to take decisive action against middlemen who are allegedly operating within police stations, revenue circle offices, and regional panchayat offices to undermine public services.

The event concluded with a closed-door session, as Hazarika requested that journalists vacate the premises before he conducted off-camera discussions regarding sensitive party strategies.
