Kohima: The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission signed a deal with the SELCO Foundation on September 16 in Kohima. They want to sharpen rural women-led businesses. The pact targets growth through enterprise development, new technology, and better market links.
Operations will center on incubating food-processing ventures across Dimapur, Kohima, Peren, and Phek. The project creates a Champion Network for peer learning. It also pushes access to decentralized renewable energy for local enterprises. Officials aim to assist 500 rural women every year.
Moa Sangtam, the NSRLM Mission Director, confirmed the shift. He said, "The partnership would help provide support based on the actual needs of entrepreneurs, including technology, enterprise development, branding, marketing and access to networks." The groups expect this work to stabilize small businesses through direct mentorship and upgraded tools.
