Imphal: The NSCN/GPRN has declared its continued commitment to the Naga national cause during a recent Joint Council meeting held at its headquarters in Hebron. Addressing the current political climate, the organization asserted that it has never surrendered its political rights and will not compromise on the aspirations of the Naga people.
Leadership remains a central pillar for the group, which formally endorsed its collective structure. This includes Yaruiwo Ino Q. Tuccu, Kedalo Ino Tongmeth Wangnao, Ato Kilonser Ino Th. Muivah, and Deputy Ato Kilonser Lt. Gen. Retd. V.S. Atem. The Council stated that the organization is prepared to navigate this crucial phase under their guidance.
A primary resolution focused on the Indo-Naga Framework Agreement signed on August 3, 2015. The council members emphasized that they view this document as the essential basis for an honorable and inclusive political settlement. They pledged to protect its core principles as they work toward a lasting resolution.
In an official statement released by the Ministry of Information and Publicity, the council underscored the gravity of their mission. They stated: The NSCN/GPRN remains firmly committed to the Naga national cause under the collective leadership of Yaruiwo Ino Q. Tuccu, Kedalo Ino Tongmeth Wangnao, Ato Kilonser Ino Th. Muivah, and Deputy Ato Kilonser Lt. Gen. Retd. V.S. Atem, VC. The leadership group has now called upon all Naga citizens and regional supporters to maintain unity as they push for self-determination.
