NNC/FGN Opposes Planned IAF Radar Installation in Nagaland

Kohima: The Naga National Council and the Federal Government of Nagaland (NNC/FGN) have voiced strong opposition to the Indian Air Force's proposal to establish a Mountain Radar System in Pfutsero, located within the Chakhesang region.

In an official statement released by the secretary of the Killo Ministry, the NNC/FGN declared that it will not permit the installation of this radar system at the Pfutsero site or anywhere else within Nagaland. The organization characterized the proposed infrastructure project as an act of aggression against the region.

The group emphasized that the people of Nagaland remain firm in their resistance to such developments, maintaining that the military project is unwelcome across their territory. The NNC/FGN reiterated its commitment to preventing the radar facility from moving forward, framing the installation as a direct challenge to local interests.
