NIT Meghalaya Announces Junior Research Fellow Recruitment for 2026

Shillong: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya has opened applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position for 2026. This role supports an ANRF-sponsored research project titled "Bayesian Learning Augmented Design of Reliable In-Memory Computing Using Unreliable Ferroelectric FETs for Edge Applications."

Qualified applicants must hold an M.Tech or M.E. in fields such as VLSI, microelectronics, semiconductor devices, or AI-ML. Alternatively, candidates with an M.Sc. and a valid GATE or NET qualification, or B.Tech/B.E. graduates with a GATE score in Electronics and Communication Engineering, are eligible. The institute prefers candidates with experience in Python, MATLAB, machine learning, and hardware accelerators.

Selected researchers will receive a monthly fellowship of INR 37,000 for the first two years, increasing to INR 42,000 in the third year. Interested individuals should email a single PDF containing their application form, age proof, and academic certificates to Dr. Bibhas Manna. The email subject line must be marked as "Application for JRF Position (ANRF-ECRG Project) in the Department of ECE."

Shortlisted candidates will participate in an online interview tentatively scheduled for 10:00 AM on June 26, 2026. The institute will share the specific video link with successful applicants prior to the session.
