New Cement Road Opens in Changtongya Town

Kohima: MLA Nuklutoshi opened a newly paved cement road in Changtongya town on June 27. The project runs from the Longchara junction to the R.C. Chitenjamir Memorial Government High School. Locals gathered at the school auditorium to mark the event.

The legislator thanked Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio for supporting the infrastructure push. Improved roads drive growth. Nuklutoshi noted that the project marks a significant milestone for local development. He told the crowd, "Roads are vital for economic growth, social development, connectivity, and overall improvement in the quality of life of its citizens as they serve as the backbone of a country's transportation system and infrastructure development."

Sangpangchang Longkumer, the SDO for Changtongya, spoke at the event. He praised the work and expects the road to solve long-standing community needs. The town relies on this route for daily travel.
