Nagaland University Seeks Research Assistant for Tribal Studies Project

Kohima: Nagaland University is hiring a Research Assistant for a new project exploring indigenous knowledge and ethical values in local tribal communities. The role connects tribal wisdom to modern educational reforms under the NEP 2020 framework. The Indian Council for Philosophical Research is funding the study.

Qualified applicants need a postgraduate degree in a social science discipline with at least 55 percent marks. Candidates must also hold a NET qualification, an M.Phil, or a Ph.D. Pay varies based on credentials. NET or Ph.D. holders will earn 25,000 rupees per month. Those without these specific credentials receive 20,000 rupees monthly.

The university expects interested parties to submit an application alongside a bio-data and contact details. You must include a mobile number and email address on the document. The university notes: "Interested candidates may send their application along with bio-data and contact details on plain paper to the undersigned by 15th July 2026 to the following email ID: [email protected]."
