Nagaland Students Union Demands Action on Unregistered Coaching Centers

Kohima: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has issued a formal reminder to the Nagaland Chief Secretary, citing the failure of authorities to register coaching institutes five months after official guidelines were introduced. Despite an earlier appeal made on February 12, 2026, to the Higher and Technical Education Department and various district administrations, the union reports that no institutes have completed the registration process.

ANCSU leaders described this delay as serious negligence and questioned the commitment of local officials to student welfare. The organization expressed deep dissatisfaction with the current lack of progress, stating they will not remain a "mute spectator" if the needs of students and aspirants continue to be ignored.

The reminder, signed by President Kivika Yeptho and Assistant General Secretary Imnawabang T Lkr, calls on the Chief Secretary to instruct district administrations to expedite the processing of verified applications. The union emphasized that these actions are necessary to ensure the State Level Committee can finalize registrations and avoid any potential confrontation with the government.
