Kohima: In a significant operation against substance abuse, the Nagaland Police successfully destroyed a large cache of narcotics and psychotropic substances on May 16. The seized contraband, which holds an estimated market value exceeding Rs 36.57 crore, was incinerated at a designated dumping site in Kohima.
Official reports confirm that the destruction process was carried out in strict adherence to court directives issued under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The confiscated items included 8 kilograms of heroin, 31 kilograms of opium, and 370 kilograms of ganja.
