Nagaland Mandates Online Registration for All Businesses

Kohima: Nagaland authorities pulled the plug on paper applications. The government now mandates all shop owners and factory managers use the official state labour portal for registrations and renewals. The order applies to all commercial establishments across the state.

Employers must visit labour.nagal.md.gov.in to handle filings. This change hits every consultant, entrepreneur, and manager under the Shops and Establishments Act or the Factories Act. Manual forms are dead. The Labour Department refuses to accept physical documents.

Officials claim the move streamlines the system. They want to cut processing times and boost transparency for business owners. The move aims to make services more accessible. If you run into trouble with the website, the government says you should reach out to local officials. "For stakeholders requiring assistance or guidance in navigating the new online system, the government has directed them to contact their respective District Labour Offices."

The policy change is active now. Stakeholders must upload all correct documents to the site. The state expects full cooperation as the system moves entirely online.
