Kohima: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio launched a new Incubation Centre for Food Processing on Monday at the State Industrial Area in Toluvi. This facility aims to help local farmers and entrepreneurs transform agricultural harvests into finished goods suitable for broader commercial markets. By providing training, technical skill development, and physical infrastructure, the state hopes to support both small and emerging businesses.

During the event, Rio also virtually inaugurated three additional projects designed to bolster the regional economy. These sites include an incubation centre for entrepreneurs at the Industrial Growth Centre in Ganeshnagar, a food processing hub in Tuensang, and a modern aggregation centre located in Longnak, Mokokchung.

The projects operate under the Government of India's SASCI scheme, which is led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Officials stated that these initiatives are intended to strengthen local entrepreneurship, increase the value of agricultural produce, and create jobs near rural villages. Regarding the rollout, the Chief Minister expressed appreciation for the support provided under the programme.
