Imphal: The Naga Students' Union, Delhi, officially trashed a recent apology from the Kuki-Zo Council. The Council offered the statement after six Naga civilians were snatched and shot dead in Manipur. The students labeled the apology a hollow move meant to dodge actual responsibility for the violence.

The Kuki-Zo Council called the slaughter a big mistake. The union says that is not enough. They want names and they want arrests. They also warned the Council to stop playing games and help police hunt down the killers instead of hiding behind empty words.

Tensions remain high over a separate insult. The students are furious that the Council used the term Katcha Nagas, which they view as a direct attack on their heritage. The union described the KZC statement as an insincere attempt to rationalise what it called "wholly indefensible" actions. They demanded that the group explain whether they speak for the killers or if they are linked to the crime themselves.

The union insists that peace depends on the rule of law. They want the United Naga Council Charter of Demands met in full. For now, the students stand with the families of the victims and refuse to back down until justice arrives.
