Naga National Council Lotha Region Appoints New Officials

Kohima: The Naga National Council (FGN) Lotha Region held an executive meeting in Wokha on Tuesday to appoint and swear in 10 new Leacys representing nine sub-regions. Midanpeyu Hathungo Kithan administered the oath of office to the incoming members during the formal programme.

Addressing the newly appointed officials, Kithan urged them to carry out their duties with sincerity while remaining dedicated to the welfare of the Naga people. He emphasized that the focus of their work should remain on the broader goals of Naga unity, integration, and a lasting resolution to the ongoing political issue.

Kithan cautioned the members against seeking personal gain or privilege through their positions. He encouraged the group to stay principled and committed to the core values of the struggle, stating, "He further called upon them to remain authentic, principled and committed to the welfare and future of the Naga people." The event concluded with a call for all members to prioritize the integrity and sovereignty of Nagaland in their official service.
