Mizoram University Seeks Guest Faculty for 2026

Aizawl: Mizoram University is hiring four guest faculty members for its Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. The openings support the school's two-year Master of Computer Applications program, which features a specific focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Applicants need a master's degree in computer science, computer applications, or a related mathematics field with a minimum 55 percent score. The university offers a 5 percent grade relaxation for SC and ST applicants. Candidates for the UGC-funded spots must hold a Ph.D. or pass the NET, SLET, or SET exams.

Pay varies based on the funding source. UGC faculty earn 1,500 rupees per lecture, capped at 50,000 rupees monthly, while MZU faculty receive 1,300 rupees per lecture with a 36,000-rupee cap. The department stated: "The eligible candidates are informed to reach the Department at 11:00 AM for verification of their original educational and experience certificates if any and thereafter to attend the interview."

Interested candidates must submit their information via a Google Form by July 19, 2026. The department holds dual-mode interviews at 11:30 AM on July 23, 2026, at the Tanhril campus in Aizawl. Remote candidates with valid reasons can interview online. Shortlisted individuals will receive a Google Meet link via WhatsApp.
