Kohima: Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles Pabitra Margherita credited the Narendra Modi-led government with lifting approximately 25 crore people out of poverty during its 12-year tenure. Speaking at the BJP state headquarters in Kohima, the minister described this period as one defined by development, public welfare, and inclusive growth across the nation, including Nagaland.
Highlighting national achievements, Margherita noted that over 81 crore people now receive free food grains, while four crore houses and nearly 16 crore tap water connections have been provided. He emphasized that the government has sanctioned 57 crore Mudra loans to support entrepreneurs and street vendors. Margherita stated, "Prime Minister Modi had completed more than 4,400 days in office and that the occasion was being observed nationwide."
