Meghalaya High Court Reserves Judgment on Sonam Raghuvanshi Bail Challenge

Shillong: The High Court of Meghalaya has reserved its verdict regarding a challenge by the state government against bail granted to Sonam Raghuvanshi. The government filed a writ petition seeking to overturn a lower court decision that allowed Raghuvanshi to remain out of custody while facing allegations involving the death of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, in Sohra last year.

During Wednesday's proceedings, S. Chanda, the counsel representing the respondent, informed the court that the defense would submit its written arguments before the end of the day. Following this commitment, the single-judge bench presided over by Justice Wanlura Diengdoh decided to reserve its final judgment.
