Meghalaya BJP Marks 12 Years of Modi Administration with All-Faith Prayer

Shillong: The Meghalaya unit of the Bharatiya Janta Party marked 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government by hosting an all-faith prayer meeting on Tuesday. Held at the party office on Bivar Road in Shillong, the event brought together diverse religious traditions to offer prayers for the nation.

The program featured a Christian hymn, a Niamtre prayer led by Sumitra Laloo, and recitations from the Quran and Sanskrit Hindu shlokas. BJP Chief Spokesperson Mariahom Kharkrang concluded the session with readings from the Bible. The participants gathered to pray for the well-being of the Prime Minister, his government, and the people of India while seeking "the country’s continued progress and stability."

The event was attended by several party leaders, including BJP MLA AL Hek and state president Rikman G Momin. Sagar Rayka, the National Vice President of the BJP OBC Morcha and a former Member of Parliament, also joined the assembly to mark the anniversary.
