Manipur Police Apprehend RPF Cadre and Seize Liquor in Imphal Operations

Imphal: Manipur Police arrested an alleged member of the banned Revolutionary People's Front and People's Liberation Army on May 30. Officers took 27-year-old Aheibam Mangalsana Singh into custody during an operation in the New Checkon area of Imphal East. Investigators report that Singh, a resident of Imphal West, was involved in extortion activities on behalf of the proscribed militant group.

In a separate operation in the Khongman Mangjin area, police detained 26-year-old Sairom Alvison. Authorities seized 551 cans of beer, each containing 500 milliliters, along with the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 vehicle the suspect was operating. The detained man is a resident of Thoubal district. Police confirm that investigations into both cases remain ongoing.
