Imphal: Manipur Police arrested an active member of the banned Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup insurgent group on Monday. Authorities identified the suspect as 38-year-old Bramacharimayum Sana Sharma, who is also known by the aliases Ibungo and Manisana.
The arrest took place at the Imphal West Commando office complex located at Minuthong. Officers confirmed that Sharma, a resident of Mayang Imphal Thana Awang Leikai, was taken into custody under the jurisdiction of the Imphal Police Station.
Police officials have launched an investigation to uncover the scope of the suspect's activities and his connections within the organization.
