Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh marked the 125th birth anniversary of Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee on Monday. He praised the late leader for protecting India's integrity and cultural foundations. The chief minister took to X to share his respect.
Khemchand Singh framed the leader as a lasting influence on national policy. He highlighted how Mookerjee's work pushes the country toward self-reliance. "His unwavering commitment to national integration and selfless service continues to inspire generations and remains a guiding force in our collective journey towards a strong, united and self-reliant India," the CM wrote.
Former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh also joined the tributes. He credited Mookerjee with keeping the country whole. Biren Singh noted that the founder stood firm on the idea that India must remain one and indivisible. Both men reaffirmed their resolve to live by those same ideals.
