Imphal: The Manipur Judicial Academy launched a training drive on August 8 for the video conferencing app Nyay Shruti. Held at the High Court of Manipur auditorium, the session focused on digitizing courtroom operations. Justice Golmei Gaiphulshillu Kabui inaugurated the event. She set the tone for the day.
The training targets judicial officers and district court staff. The app functions under the legal backing of Section 530 of the BNSS, 2023. Officials want to streamline case management. Resource persons provided detailed demonstrations to ensure staff could handle the software during actual proceedings. The system aims to increase accessibility, accuracy, and speed across the state legal network.
"The programme is part of the continuing efforts of the Manipur Judicial Academy to promote technological competence among judicial officers and staff of the District Courts and strengthen the effective use of digital tools in the justice delivery system." Attendees also raised specific questions to clear up technical hurdles. The academy plans to keep pushing for better digital integration in the courts. The event wrapped up with a vote of thanks for all contributors.
