Kohima: A 17-member delegation from Manipur toured the Nagaland Tool Room and Training Centre in Dimapur on August 27. Sanasam Premchandra Singh, the MLA for the 29 Kumbi Assembly Constituency, led the group during the site visit.
Staff briefed the visitors on the mission and activities of the facility. The delegates walked through the labs and checked the local infrastructure. They examined a wide range of gear. The group spent time inspecting the Centre of Excellence in Industry 4.0, focusing on robotics, drones, and 3D printers.
The team reviewed various IoT kits and modern machinery. They also studied rural technologies designed for local livelihoods. These tools solve real problems. The visit highlighted the center's technical reach and training capacity. Both sides discussed potential future cooperation. Officials expressed interest in "exploring possible areas of collaboration and knowledge sharing in the future."
