Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh expects the state to produce a clean voter list. His comments arrive one day after the Election Commission published a draft excluding 158,677 names from the rolls. The revised list currently accounts for 19.34 million voters.

Officials finished the enumeration phase before Sunday's publication. Residents missing from the draft have a window to file claims or objections from July 5 through August 4. The state government plans to release the final roll on September 6.

Singh discussed the revision process at a BJP workshop held in Imphal. Attendees included Rajya Sabha MP A Sharda Devi and Home Minister K Govindas Singh. The Chief Minister addressed the party faithful during the meeting. "I am confident that the final electoral roll will be accurate and inclusive. The Government of Manipur remains committed to supporting the conduct of free, fair, transparent, and credible elections," Singh said.
