Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh visited the site of the proposed Manipur Technical University extension campus in Thoubal district on Sunday. During his inspection, he directed the Public Works Department to begin paving a six-kilometer road that will link the campus to National Highway 102. This project aims to improve overall accessibility to the institution as construction work continues at the location.

Officials provided the Chief Minister with updates regarding the current status of infrastructure development and ongoing site activities. The university administration confirmed plans to begin hosting academic classes at the new campus during the upcoming session, which is scheduled for July and August.

This extension project is part of a broader effort to strengthen technical education throughout the state. By expanding these facilities, the government hopes to increase local access to higher education and provide students with better resources in the region.
