Imphal: Armed attackers killed a man on the Mahadev-Toloi road in Manipur’s Ukhrul district. The incident happened early October 10. The victim, Sandeep Rai, was driving a red Maruti Alto toward his farmland in the Chepu Yaolen area when the assault occurred.
He was headed to work around 6 am. Miscreants ambushed the vehicle. Rai did not survive the encounter. Sources said his body remains at the scene because, as of the latest reports, it is "yet to be recovered."
Details are scarce. Authorities have not identified the attackers or established a clear motive. The nature of his fatal injuries remains unconfirmed while the area stays under investigation.
