Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh called a meeting at the Secretariat in Mantripukhri today. He sat down with the Core Committee on Petroleum Products to address a backlog of complaints from regional transporters. Fuel supplies are lagging. The group scrutinized the specific hurdles blocking the movement of petroleum products across the state.
Key officials joined the session to plot a path forward. Attendees included ADGP I.K. Muivah, Special Secretary (Home) Ahanthem Subash, and Director of CAF and PD Yumnam Nelson. Ahongshangbam Tamphayai, president of the Core Committee on Petroleum Products, also represented the transporters.
The Chief Minister demanded better synchronization between state agencies and private operators to unclog the supply lines. He pushed for immediate action to stabilize the region's energy logistics. As Singh noted during the review, there is an "emphasised the need for coordination among the concerned authorities and stakeholders to address the challenges faced by transporters." Officials now wait to see if these talks translate into faster deliveries on the ground.
