Kuki Inpi Nagaland Denies Claims of Armed Village Volunteers

Kohima: The Kuki Inpi Nagaland (KIN) has officially refuted claims that Kuki villages in the Ahthibung area of Peren district are organizing village volunteers. In a formal statement released on May 31, the organization labeled the allegations as entirely baseless and lacking factual evidence.

KIN stated that no such activities are occurring within any Kuki village. The organization invited the public and relevant authorities to conduct their own independent investigations to confirm that the reports are inaccurate.

The group expressed concern that spreading such misinformation could trigger fear, confusion, and mistrust among local communities. They warned that these rumors threaten the long-standing peaceful coexistence and communal harmony maintained in the district.

The organization called on the public and various groups to act responsibly by verifying information before sharing it. They emphasized that preserving peace and mutual trust remains a vital collective priority for all residents.
