Imphal: The Kuki Inpi Manipur, the apex body for Kuki tribes, has scheduled a nationwide rally for May 30. This protest follows a collective decision made by the organization and various civil society groups during a meeting on May 26.

Demonstrators plan to voice their outrage over the recent killings of three Kuki-Zo church leaders, identified as Rev. V. Sitlhou, Rev. Kaigoulun, and Pastor Paogoulen. The community is also demanding the immediate release of 14 Kuki-Zo civilians who remain in detention within the Senapati district.

Organizers have requested that student bodies, women's groups, youth organizations, and church leaders coordinate peaceful demonstrations across their respective regions. The protests will operate under a unified theme as the community seeks urgent intervention from both state and central authorities to address these escalating tensions.
