Kohima: The Kohima District Volleyball Association inducted its new executive team for the 2026-29 term on July 22. Officials gathered at Hotel Japfü in Kohima to finalize the leadership transition. New team members took their posts. Neivikhotuo Vielie, convenor of the Nomination Committee, formally announced the roster.
Mhalelhou Mere steps up as president. The remaining board includes Hetuo Solo as vice president of administration, Neivikhotuo Vielie as vice president of sports, and Vikhozolie Rülho as secretary. Dr. Keneikhoto Yano will serve as joint secretary, while Keviselhou Peseyie handles treasurer duties. Vilesü Mekro assumes the role of technical secretary and Visasilie Suhu moves into an advisory position.
Mhalevilie Kere chaired the induction ceremony. Neikhrielie Mere opened the program with an invocation. Keneilezo Sechü exhorted the audience during the session. Outgoing president Visasilie Suhu and the newly installed president Mhalelhou Mere spoke to those in attendance. Khrietuo Angami delivered the vote of thanks to close the event. Mhalelhou Mere noted the importance of the transition, stating, "The new team will be led by Mhalelhou Mere as president."
