Guwahati: The Kamrup district administration has launched a three-day training program at the Bio-Tech Park in Amingaon to prepare for the House Listing and Housing Operations of Census 2027. This initiative aims to equip District and Charge Census Officers, along with clerical assistants, with the skills needed to implement the upcoming national exercise efficiently.
During the sessions, participants receive detailed guidance on field responsibilities, data collection protocols, and the digital systems required for the operation. The curriculum includes technical presentations, practical demonstrations, and interactive discussions to ensure all staff members are familiar with official procedures and guidelines.
District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra is overseeing the event alongside senior officials, including ADC Bikram Chetri and ADC Monika Borgohain. Experts from the Directorate of Census Operations, Assam, led by Additional Directors Gautam Dutta and Saheen Laskar as well as District In-Charge Mehmuda Begum, are conducting the instruction.
The training concludes on Saturday, with final sessions focused on implementation strategies. Officials emphasize the need for accuracy and uniformity to ensure that field activities are executed on schedule across the entire district.
